Kingston Technology has long since prided itself in providing quality memory products. We've reviewed several of their flash drives in the past, but most of these have been on the lower end of the DataTraveler spectrum. As a result, the performance and feature set have not quite been as good as some of the counterparts from competitors. To counter this image, Kingston sent us one of the best USB drives in their portfolio and -- as you can probably imagine -- we're fairly impressed.
To my knowledge, Kingston has only used the HyperX moniker for their RAM products. That recently changed with the release of the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX USB flash drive. The banner on the product page proudly proclaims that "It's HyperX, to go." That's right folks. Kingston wants us to believe that this portable storage solution is one of the fastest in the business. That may or may not be the case, but it's certainly faster than most other flash drives on the market.
